Many legal matters involve accounting, tax,
and valuation issues. Most attorneys are not trained in these areas. With this in
mind, we have developed a number of courses specifically with judges and attorneys
in mind.
Before attending law school, Dennis J. Gerschick practiced as a CPA with one of the
Big 4 accounting firms. Mr. Gerschick has been an attorney since 1983. During 1985-1987,
he practiced law with one of Atlanta's largest law firms. In 1990, he was awarded
the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation. Since 1999, Mr. Gerschick has
managed a venture capital fund. Mr. Gerschick is the only person who is an Attorney,
CPA, CFA and PFS. His unique perspective and experience helps others resolve issues.
The Institute of Continuing Judicial Education in Georgia has invited Mr. Gerschick
to speak many times. There, he educates judges about accounting, financial statements,
forensic accounting, and the valuation of private companies. Mr. Gerschick has also
chaired and spoken at legal seminars for over thirteen years. He has been asked to
chair many seminars over the years for the Georgia Bar. He has spoken at the annual
Corporate Litigation seminar several times, once about "Using Financial Statements
in the Courtroom."
In addition to the courses below, please see our other topics in the Business Law
and Accounting
